Can some kind soul suggest the best way of importing geometry from Maya into C4D.

Natively Maya only exports it own bin and ascii files, so I guess I’ll need some sort of plugin.

    I’m running C4D 9.102 and Maya unlim 6.0

    Thanks for any help

    Alan

Certainly Maya exports to .obj and .fbx, no? Either of those would work for objects, while .fbx would be the choice for animation.

    Thanks Adam,

I’ve downloaded a Maya plgin that exports to FBX, seems to do the job, very slow though on my machine. Don’t see any way of getting an obj file out of Maya. I’m a very naive user though.
