Importing from Panasonic P2 Store (AJ-PCS060G)
I am having trouble getting my files off of a Panasonic P2 store. I’ve got the mode set to Mac, and I can view the files in the P2 import window, but when I go to import them I get the following message –
“One or more P2 clips failed to import; probable incomplete or corrupt clips.”
I was able to copy the contents of the clips as MXF files to my external hard drive, but even then I got the same message when I tried to import them. If they are corrupted, could the problem be with my drive? And any idea if the data is retrievable?
Any thoughts?

I have an online video tutorial on how to import footage from a P2 card here:
Make sure to copy the footage off the card first, and onto a separate drive for archiving.

Are you running on the latest OS 10.4.3 and FCP 5.04? If not this message will always occur. Alos make sure that the timeline is set up the the format you are attempting to bring in.

Thanks fellas. It was indeed the Final Cut Upgrade from V5 to V5.0.4 that I needed. It tricked me because it didn’t come up in the Apple Software Update. Thanks for the help!
