    I just got a number of cds of sound effects. they are aac sound files and fcp or imovie will not let me import. I’ve tried everythign i know and i cant really figure it out. any help out there?
    Ive posted this in the fcp forum as well, but thought it might be appropriate here as well.

    Have iTunes import them from the CDs as .aiff files instead of .aac (the option is in the iTunes preferences). You could also burn the ones in iTunes now to a music cd and then reimport them iTunes as .aiff.

    what are the file extensions of the AAC files, m4a or m4p? If m4p, they are DRM”d. You would have to try one of the solutions suggested in the earlier post.
