Importing from DVD + Scene Detection
I have a collection of DVDs which I have created from old analogue camera tapes. I’m currently importing these DVDs and editing them so that they are watchable. Is it possible to import and automatically use scene detection to split the event into individual scenes? This is proving to be a big manual task.

Yes it’s a big manual task! ? No there is no “scene detection” I am aware of, just use the “S” key to make your splits, trim what you don’t need, adjust color, brightness, contrast, audio gain, select curves and crossfade and add envelopes and keyframe as required, I assume there will be transitions & you have plenty to choose from, is this what you want? No automation here, U DO IT!

Thanks Matt. That’s exactly what I’ve been doing. My home movies date from 1983, so this could take me a very long time indeed!
