  Importing from an Archos AV500 PVR

  I have reecently bought an Archos AV 500 Mobile Digital Recorder. It records as an AVI file. When I import it into FCP, it takes 1 hour to render 30 mins of video/audio on the time line. Is there anyway I can reduce this time?
