I’m making a slideshow with Vegas 7. Normally I import a picture then go to properties to set the transparency. Now I have 100 different picture/frames(TGA format) all with transparencies. Is there a way to set the transparent property in all these at one time in Vegas or have Vegas recognize these pictures coming in as After FX does?

Right click one TGA in the media pool, go to properties, set the transparency, then click the small floppy icon to tell Vegas to always see TGA’s with the Alpha enabled.

    Hi DSE,

You must have been out of pocket the last week or so. Could you please look down to my post on 6-9-08 and reply about x.v. color?
    Thanks.

Clarification please – when you say media pool, do you mean Project Media or Media Manager?

Update – couldn’t get this to work from Project Media pool using TIF files. Tried TGA and found it worked as described. Looks like I won’t be using TIFs anymore.

[Kim Nance] “Looks like I won’t be using TIFs anymore.”

Kim, you’ll find that, while Vegas will work with TGAs, it likes PNGs the best.

Mike, upon what are you basing that statement?

Douglas, I’m repeating what you and several other Vegas users have said in the past.
My own experiences have proven this to be the case.
    Am I mistaken?
