Importing footage from P2 Card
Hey, everybody. It is my first time posting here, so hopefully it helps me out.
I am currently working on a project using Final Cut Pro 5.1.4.
The footage was recorded onto P2 Cards. I ingested the footage onto my hard drive using the P2 Contents Management Software, and everything seems like it worked out alright.
I then imported the footage into my project using the Import Panasonic P2 option. It all worked out EXCEPT for a select few clips that seem to not import properly. The little media map shows only a half circle rather than a full one.
These clips look perfectly fine in the preview window, but once brought in, they are all messed up. One is at 6fps, another is at 11.99fps, causing the picture to be all screwed up (while the audio remains as it should be).
I’ve tried everything. Reingesting, reimporting, and am quickly running out of ideas.
If anyone has ever run into this problem or has any suggestions on how to fix it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully this is a quick fix. In the preferences in Import P2, deselect the remove duplicate frames and see if that works.
Also the half filled circle normally means that you set an In and/or Out point on that clip, it has been partially ingested.

Wow, I can not thank you enough man. Deselecting the remove duplicate frames worked. I was going crazy already trying to fix it. Thought I had already tried that, but evidently I didn’t.
