  Importing file issues

  I am having trouble importing any type of files into an Avid project-Quicktime, Jpeg, audio…. This has just started to happen. I removed an external hard drive from the computer to transfer some files and hooked it back up and this is when the issues started to happen. The error I get is

  Exception: SYS_ERROR, status:82, msg: The directory or file cannot be created
  I have tried everything I can think of and can’t get it to work. The drive has around 150 gigs left on it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
