I am doing a cut on an older editor and want to import an edl into Avid. I want to retain the comments and the reel numbers of the original batch grab on the older NLE. What edl format should I export from the old NLE and how do I import it into the Avid to retain all the original source information on the individual clips?

What kind of ‘older NLE’ are you talking about?

It is a discreet edit. I am doing some SD offlining on it and want to bring it into Avid and keep the clip information with the edl.

I know if you register with Avid (you’ll need to provide your system ID) you can access the download area for Avid. I’m sure you can find a PC version there.
