My colleagues and I have been scratching our heads on this since we’re n00bs at using the edl function. Forgive me if I’ve overlooked something really obvious.

What we want to do is edit using one clip (e.g. low res) then substitute with the master clips (HD). What we are having trouble with is relinking to the new clips. The edl correctly identifies the timecodes, but when we go to link media (also tried replace footage), the in-point just gets set to the beginning of the clip. I’ve tried this with a few different types of source footage in case that was the problem.

Are we missing a step here?

Hmm, a week without reply makes me wonder if I should ask this in the PPro forum rather than PPro basics.

Does anyone have experience with successfully or unsuccessfully importing EDLs into PPro CS4 or CS3?

    Many thanks.
