    Hello everyone
I just got a new Sony digital camera and I really want to start shooting animation with it. I’ve heard that there is a way to import the images in a chronological order, so that they become a sequence in after effects. How do I do this? Is after effects the best program for this, can you do it in final cut. I am using a G5 power Mac and after effects 6.
    Thanks a lot,

    James Roche

All your photos have to be numbered sequentially e.g. IMG0097, IMG0098, IMG0099, IMG0100, etc.

Then in AE, you select file>import, select the first image (IMG0097) then check the JPG sequence (or TIFF sequence, whatever) and import. The images will be imported as a sequence, just like a movie.

FCP should also be able to import image sequences, but I haven’t tried to do that yet. I think you should check the manual.
