Probably a very basic question, but I’ve been away from AE for some time now & can’t find my oil can.

I’m using CS6 & revisiting some projects from 2013-1205. A number of older plug-in complaints of course but finally got those resolved. For the comp I need, I’ve a complicated section where the mattes aren’t working for some reason. In an earlier version of the comp, but in a different project, they are. Having a time really seeing what’s different when having to Open & Close, back & forth, so would like to just bring that comp into current project so I can more easily compare what’s different or simply swap out.

I vaguely recall a technique for doing that but not finding it. Might be confusing bringing AE projects into Premiere.

    Anyone?

    Thanks.

You can use File > Import to pull one AEP into another — all comps and all assets. You might want to reduce the project you plan to import first.

Ah. Knew it had to be a simple process. I recall the need to prune first.
    Thanks Walter
