I have been editing a dv project, however I need to add scenes between established clips, in other words the clips are already together how do you insert clips between two established clips? I try but you always lose a few frames from either the established clip or the inserted clip.

    Thank you.

Make sure you are “inserting” the clip and not overlaying it. Drag your clip over to the timeline, but before letting go of the mouse button, make sure you are holding downt he “CTRL” key. This will put you in “insert edit” mode. That should do it for you.

Insert can cause problems if you have mutliple tracks already populated to the right of the insert point. If this affects you, then use the multitrack tool (track tool + SHIFT) to move everything to the right to make room, do the insert, then move it all back again.
