I am having a difficult time importing Canon C100 footage into Premiere.

Should I be using Media Encoder? If so, what setting’s should I be using?

    This is green screen footage.

Seems that Canon C100 is using a format by default not supported by Premiere Pro right? Yeah a media encoder should certainly help you to output files to any formats you can imagine. Or you can also use a converter to convert your video files to MP4 format that is certainly supported by Premiere Pro and Sony Vegas from my experience.

Here is a link you can check more info on the Media Encoder incase you need to know more about it: https://www.adobe.com/products/media-encoder.html

The C100 produces AVCHD file which are supported.

    1. Copy the entire SD card to the Media drive. Do not delete, rename or move anything inside those folders.

    2. Make sure the Media Browser is seeing the folder as AVCHD and not as Files. (Drop down filter to the left of the eye.)

    3. Use the Media Browser for Import.
