Hi. I am having a very big problem here in importing my footages to Final Cut. I am Using Sony Video Cam NexVG. I tried the Log And Transfer but an error message telling that my videos were not supported.

Can you help me with this? Please I really really really badly need your help… Anyone please!!!

FCP 7 is 5 years old. It’s been discontinued for 4 years, meaning no further development has occurred in that time.

AVCHD formats are constantly changing…no two are alike. So new log and transfer plugins need to be made for the specific version when they are released. Since FCP 7 has been DOA for 4 years…no plugin for it has been made. Thus why it doesn’t work.

But there are converters out there for this reason (and other reasons). The one I recommend is EditReady by divergentmedia.com. That company always stays on top of current camera tech, and can convert the footage to ProRes for use in FCP 7
