  • Importing AVCHD files from Panasonic AF100 into AVID Media Composer 4 — How to?

Posted by Ross Spears on August 21, 2013 at 5:20 pm

Ok. I am using MC 4 and have been shooting with a Sony EX1 for a while. Now I have important footage from a shooter with a Panasonic AF100 camera. It’s in AVCHD and I am totally unsure how to get it into AVID. I am sure it can be done, but HOW? Any help would be much appreciated — the more detail the better!!!

    Thanks, Ross Spears

Version 4 won’t AMA AVCHD. Gotta use MC6 or above. If that’s not an option, you could try ClipWrap.

Thanks so much! What is ClipWrap? And how does it work?

Very straightforward. It will either rewrap footage (particularly useful to make Quicktimes from MTS files) or it can transcode as well.
