    Importing – Aspect ratio

    So I am having a little import issue that is probably simple so hopefully someone can assist.

    When I import a MOV file that is 16:9 it keeps showing as 4:3 in the preview window with black bars on the sides. How do I correct this/what is causing this issue?

    In Vegas, right click the file, select Properties, and then on the Media tab, change the Pixel aspect ratio to… maybe 1.33 or possibly 1.21 – whichever looks right.
