    Hello all,

I am trying to export a project session from one machine, and import it on another machine. In the “Project List” I am right clicking, then selecting “Export +” It appears to export just fine (it exports a zip that unzips as an XML).

When I go to my other machine, I go to the “Project List,” right click on a session I created, then select “Import +” When I go to select the XML, it is not selectable (it is that light gray color). I’ve tried a variety of ways to troubleshoot it, and I haven’t been able to crack it. Any ideas?

I am using two machines, both have Davinci 8.0, and I am swapping out the dongle. I don’t think that is a problem, as I’ve used both of them without a problem on other things – including backups. But I’ve been wrong before.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi, try importing the zipped file, not the XML.

    Hi Perer,

Thanks for the reply! I did try that, and it was giving me the same grayed out option – It wouldn’t even let me select it.

Resolve exported projects have a resolve.tar.gz extension. Make sure Safari is not uncompressing the file as you would be unable to import it then.

    Thanks all,

It was, indeed, the zip file that needed to be imported. For some reason Resolve needed me to restart my computer. Go figure.
