Importing an AE crated HDV file inte FCP causes trouble
Hello everyone.
This is maybe an AE problem but maybe a FCP one. So I posted it on both forums.
I searched the archive, assuming this question must have come up a zillion times but could only find the other way around (FCP>AE)
So here’s my problem: I am working on a 1080 25p project and exported HDV files from AE using the right settings.
In FCP the file doesn’t play back properly, it staggers, causes crashed and even to render Preview it will take hours for 2 min clip.can you link me to this topic?

Open a new sequence. Drag and drop just one of the AE files into the timeline. If it prompts to change settings say yes.
Compare the settings of the new sequence to your edit sequence and then let us know what those settings and differences are and we will have a better idea. Also any details on FCP version, computer & drive specs will help.
