Importing Already Transcoded Media
If your 4K files were already transcoded OUTSIDE of fcpx to ProRes 422 HQ and you import these files into fcpx, will you have issues finishing in davinci and/or relinking to the original 4K files? Is it better to import the RAW files and use proxy within fcpx? If not, how should one import already transcoded files into fcpx without loosing the underlying 4k footage?

Often you can get Resolve to still reconnect to the originals even if the FCPX edit used non FCPX-generated proxies. But that’s not a guarantee- best to test on a couple of clips first.
