    Hey, folks.
Just wanted to get a quick synopsis of the workflow involved when exporting ALE files from, say, a Symphony for FCP capture.
I have a bunch of logged bins in my Avid system that I’m transferring to an FCP editor, and it appears that the latest version of FCP is certainly able to hand ALE files. But the editor hasn’t been able to import them thus far. Any ideas?

    Thanks a lot,

You can import the ALE into a cinema tools database, then export a final cut pro batch list from cinema tools.

Then you can import the Final Cut Pro batch list into a bin in Final Cut.

Excellent! Sebskytools worked like a charm.
I still find it odd, though, that FCP had difficulty simply importing the ALE files considering Apple claims that ALE recognition and importability is a feature of 5.1.2.

For whatever reason CinemaTools declined to recognize the ALE files. But it seems that sebskytools did the trick.
