I’m importing a 720×576 300ppi Adobe Illustrator image into After Effects that was saved with the PDF compatibility setting.
When I drag it onto my composition I only see the message,

‘This is an Adobe Illustrator file that was saved without PDF content. To place or open this file in other applications, it should be re-saved from Adobe Illustrator with the “Create PDF Compatible File” option turned on. This option is in the Illustrator Native Format options dialog box, which appears when saving an Adobe Illustrator file using the Save As command.’

    Anyone else had this problem?
Or, should I post this in the Adobe Illustrator forum?

Now when I import layers only the handles can be seen. Please help.

    Thanks,
    James

Also, images that were built as 720×576 in Illustrator are 573×504 in After Effects. Why?
