I’ve created some animated graphics and text in After Effects, but I notice that when I put the uncompressed avi files on the timeline, there is some degradation of the image and text, even at “Best (full)” in the preview and when I render to uncrompressed avi, the degradation is clear.

Is there any way to prevent this — any particular settings I should pay attention to — or is it something I have to live with?

I’m referring to the Vegas timeline, of course.

Although I had the project set for progressive scan, I didn’t set the individual event as progressive. Once I did that, everything looked fine.
