importing Adobe premiere into FCP
Posted by Lawrence Eaton on January 15, 2010 at 5:31 pmGuess this must be a long standing issue but at this moment, I need a yea or a nay.
Can you import a .prproj into FCP?
If not, can someone suggest a ‘bit’ of software to enable this, please?
Many thanks, off to feed the deer

January 15, 2010 at 9:46 pmI think at one time Automatic Duck might have done this. Not sure about the current version. Can Premiere export an XML that FCP can open? Just a thought or two.

January 15, 2010 at 10:49 pmThanks John. I guess this is going to be one of the traditional technological slogs. Nothing like a challenge though…

That would be the best option if Premiere can do it, I dont know if it can.
The BIGGER problem that you will run into is that most likely your media files from Premiere will be incompatible with FCP.
There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.

Hopefully soon.
