(DEAR MODS, I’M SORRY, I’VE WORKED OUT MY ISSUE, JUST NEEDED TO DOUBLE CLICK THE SOURCE, I FEEL DUMB, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DELETE)

    Hi all,

I’ve learnt so much googling issues and always end up with a helpful thread here, it’s finally my time to sign up and ask a question.

I’ve imported my (I say my it’s this: https://freevectormaps.com/world-maps/WRLD-EPS-01-0011) illustrator into AE. As I would like to animate the countries fading in similar to how it’s done here: https://youtu.be/YBCyhv9yLfU?t=95

I assumed the above example was done by animating individual layers with masks.

I have used ‘Import As’ to retain all the layers individually, however, when I drag them into the comp, each individual layer is imported into the center of the composition (I know we say technology is making the world smaller but this is a little OTT ☺). How do I tell AE not to over-write the positions of the layers?

Any help or is there a far simpler way to do this that I haven’t thought of?

    Thank you,
    Joe Entwistle
