  • Importing adobe cc2014 .xml file to adobe cs6

Just wanted to see if this was possible…

I synced and made a timeline for my director today. Took a load of time, and I read earlier that all I had to do was export a .xml (on adobe’s website). Now I read that cs6 will only read a .xml file if it was exported from Final Cut.

So many mixed remarks out there. I just want to be able to give my director a proper answer…Is upgrading to CC2014 our only option?

The XML will work. If your edit used features only found on CC they won’t come through.

Do you have a list of those features?

The error message cs6 is giving us is… “This project contains a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview present file or codec could be associated with this sequences type.”
