  • Importing a .prproj file (created with Vegas pro) into Media Encoder.

I converted my .veg file to .prproj with the “Export” tool of Vegas Pro.
But when I try to import the file in Media Encoder, I get this message :

An unknown error occurred while opening the project.

    What can I do ?

I would open the project in Premiere Pro and see what it looks like. The export isn’t a perfect solution and you may have to fix things up in PPro and then send to Media Encoder.

    Hi.

I tried to import my .prproj file in After Effect. But I’ve got this message :

” AEGP plugin Premiere Pro Import: Can’t load Premiere Pro project, the version number is wrong or the file is corrupt. (5027::12) “

[Mathieu Laveissiere] “I tried to import my .prproj file in After Effect.”

Why don’t you try importing it into Premiere Pro since it’s a Premiere project?

Well it’s because I don’t have Premiere Pro, and because I can’t export my Vegas project to .aaf (It gives me an error message).
But since I saw that After Effect can import Premiere Pro projects, I decided to do that way.

OK, that’s odd. What version of Media Encoder do you have then? Perhaps it’s too old to open the project file which is the error you got from After Effects.

I’m using Adobe Media Encoder CC 2018 12.0 Build 202.
I’m gonna update it and try again.
