Importing a PNG sequence error
Posted by Matthew Rogers on June 30, 2010 at 8:22 pmLooked around the web and the cow and didn’t see anything related to this. I can’t import a single PNG file or a PNG sequence into After Effects.
I get the following error message.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

June 30, 2010 at 9:39 pmThat’s what I ultimately did, but it seems that any png image won’t load. Strange.

July 1, 2010 at 2:47 pmI’m running 9.0.2.42 currently. I tried importing an image into PS and exporting a PNG to see if the files were saved improperly or corrupt some how. Still doesn’t work.
I’ll have to hit up Adobe for some insight.
Thanks for your help.

July 1, 2010 at 3:18 pmI created a screen grab using the mac screen grab Shift+command+4 and tired to import that into AE with no luck.
You last comment made sense. I didn’t even think that it may be an OS issue. I tried importing a PNG file and a PNG sequence on another machine and it imported without any errors.
So, it must be an OS issue. Which is also strange. We just did a complete erase and reinstall of the OS on this system about a month ago.
Which was Leopard, if that makes any difference.hmmm
Thanks again for your help on this.
