  • Importing a .max model into C4D?

    Howdy!
I downloaded a model of a bowl from TurboSquid but neglected to check the format. Ooops. It’s a .max file. When I try to open it in C4D, it tells me “unknown file format.” I have C4D 9.6. Is there a way to open the model in C4D?

    Thanks!
    Jason

No. MAX is a proprietary format that can only be opened in 3dsMAX. You need to find someone who can convert it for you, download the 30 day trial of MAX or contact the seller for an alternative version.

Thanks for the tip, Mylenium. BTW, I’ve really enjoyed your tutorials/explorations into MoGraph!

    Thanks,
    Jason
