Importing A. Illustrator file and Wave Warp issue
I made a simple line (bulging in the middle) in A. Illustrator…
I Import this AI file using AE (i.e., bulging line) into AE…
Then attempted to use Wave Warp to get a Sine Wave effect…
The wave effect worked…However, the glow and color change options did not work.
The color of the simple buldging line imported from AI with Alpha) remains as the original A.I. created file default color (i.e., black). Glow and Color can not be changed when using Wave Warp effect on an imported file from A.I.
I am sure I am doing something wrong that is simple… but, can’t find a previous post with regard to this problem…nor, an explanation in the Help menu.

at this point i would try to add the paint bucket effect to you ai layer, set the fill selector to alpha and the color to whatever you want. then add a glow effect and adjust as needed.
next time you may want to create your ai file in the color that you’ll need in ae.
