We are a campus TV station and using an automation software to schedule and run our programs. It saves the files as separate avi and wave files. Our ops guy wants to check the captures but there’s no easy way to do it in Fission (that’s the software we’re using). We have vegas on one of the machines. I can open up the files in vegas but it doesn’t combine them. I have to bring them in seperate and line them up. Is there any way to bring both files to the timeline at the same time and in sync?

In Vegas you would have to bring them up and sync them up yourself. In DVD-Architech you could (for the sake of looking) pull the video to the menu page and assign the wav file as the audio (if it were an ac3 file that was in the same file as the video it would load automatically). Hope that works for you.

Select both files in the Vegas Explorer, right-click and drag to the timeline, from the pop-up menu, select that you want to add “Across Tracks”
