I just bought the Pro version of Carrara 6 (a 3D app like Maya) and it has the ability to export camera movement data, lights and simple planes into After Effects. Daz, the company that sells Carrara says that the AE plugin that I have to install into AE’s plugin directory works for AE 6.5. I have CS3 and when I import the 3D scene with an animated camera into AE everything seems to be distorted or out of place.
Does anyone know the difference between AE 6.5 and CS3 in regards to 3d camera, light and plane position? I hope this is something I can fix by adjusting anchor points or the like. Anyway, thanks for any or all help!
