I have a clip Codec:AVC, Frame Rate 23.976, 1920×1080. It’s 1:03sec long but when I import into MC 6.5 it takes almost 2min to import. A small window pops up showing me time elapsed and time length expected to finish the import. When it’s done it looks fine. Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong that it takes that long?
My project type is set at 1080/23.976, Raster Dimension 1920×1080
    The raster types listed are
    -Standard
    -XDCAM EX

Import: Video Resolution set to DNxHD 115 MXF

    Thanks

It’s probably just because it’s AVCHD. That’s a long GOP codec that you’re trying to transcode. It’s always going to take awhile when doing that.

To reduce your time, you’ll have to reduce the variables involved.

If your project know your project is XDCam EX, if you can shoot XDCam EX it will go in a lot faster, just a matter of re-wrapping.

Have you tried linking to AMA and transcoding versus just import? AMA has a newer code than import and is a lot faster.

I will try the AMA route.
I thought the issue was in the wrapping.

    Thanks
