My problem = using correct settings to import 16:9 video from a flip camera. As far as I know it is true 16:9 and NOT anamorphic.
Next problem = how to export a 16:9 video for the web.

The clip seems to register with final cut when imported. It appears to be 16:9 (correct ratio) inside of a 4:3 canvas/view window. when attempting to manipulate the footage it is definitely being recognized as 16:9 and not 4:3. However I was told you should not have to render your 16:9 footage when adding it to your sequence if the sequence settings are correct. I am still having to render.

And no matter how many websites or posts I read I still can’t get it to export correctly as a 16:9 video for the web. Upon exporting I get an image that is 16:9 that still has letterbox stripes and a super squished video.. or similar.. sometimes its the right ratio with a squished video or a stretched video.. it’s just not right.

    Help! anyone?

    Jenna,

Can you post a short clip example from the camera? I’ll take a look at it.
