“Importer Reported Generic Error”
I am having a bit of an emergency, I am opening a project I had archived on a HDD and now it cannot seem link any of the files again. All my video and still files are in the root directory of my project. When I open it it says “The importer reported a generic error”, and it brings this up for every single file, (avi’s, jpg’s, mov’s, etc). I get this error even if I attempt to relink the files. Nothing is wrong with them, I can open them in any other program, even import them into a different premiere project. I really need to recover this, it is a few months worth of editing. I am using PPro 1.5.

I am also getting “The importer reported a generic error” response when I try to import another project into a new project that has different video resolution settings. Anyone got any ideas?
