imported videos are sideways in Sony Vegas 11 (original video is not)
every mp4 video I import into Sony Vegas is sideways like somehow Sony Vegas is rotating them for whatever reason during import!!! how do I fix?? they DO NOT play sideways in WMP but they are sideways (rotated) every time I import them!!!

Sounds like your video source is a digicam or a cell phone. Vegas probably does not support the camera orientation metadata stored in the file.
To get things how you want, you can right click the media, choose properties, and select an appropriate rotation to get your media right side up.
