I shot a football game on my 60D. Imported them into a new FCP-X project. I scrub through the clips in the viewer and it only scrubs a portion of the clips. Insane. Also, everything is imported out of order and not my the MVI_ number sequence. Any ideas?

I’ve had this happen a couple of times, Have you allowed time for FCPX to render out thumbnails? Have you restarted the app?

As far as the naming goes, have you clicked on the “name” field above the clips this works for me.

Also in the event library settings ( The little cog icon at the bottom of the event library pane) you can choose how you group clips there.

Have you tried “Search Posts”? Enlightenment may be there.

Thanks Steve. I let it go ahead and render in the background and then i changed how the project library was showing items. once i had the clips appearing in numerical order i could see the entire shot. i’ll get used to it after a while. a few rainbow wheels, but i guess i need to bump up my RAM past 7gigs.
