Imported clip highlights are blown, original media is not
Hey Everyone,
I am working through a conference job, where I imported half the media and my boss imported the rest on different computers. I multi-clipped the footage and have noticed that all the highlights are completely blown out… which is very unusual for our cameraman.
When I went to look at the original RAW media backed up off the CF card, the clips are fine, highlights are well within range and not peaking at all. I’m guessing that when the media was imported, some sort of ‘automatic colour grade’ was selected, however there is nothing in the video inspector.
Anyone have any ideas how to remove this?
Running FCPX 10.3.4, shot on canon c300.
Appreciate any help!

Check the inspector on the clips- if it’s raw a LUT is likely being applied.

Thanks for the response.
When I select my clip in the media pool and then check the inspector, there is nothing in the video inspector other then the spatial conform. Not sure if i’m missing something obvious or there is another way to check for LUTS being applied?
