November 5, 2007 at 11:05 amPreference files are XML and version specific. You might try opening the one from 2.o in Notepad and change the version to 3.

Dont know if it can be edited without assigning a file type. -

“C:\Documents and Settings\Phil\Application Data\Adobe\Premiere Pro\2.0\Adobe Premiere Pro Prefs” in Internet Explorer.
It appears as a well organized long text file but the content is too complicated for analyzing its meaning; I shall reconfigure step by step in PPro CS3 the work area settings and shortcuts settings that I had in PPro CS2. Thank you Mike and Steven.
