import xdcam HD 422
Hello,
Im experiencing problems imprting xdcam HD 422 file from sony’s PDW 700 and 701 into media 100. video imports ok, but audio is corrupted. it works when importin to FCS.
The other codecs work fine.mac pro 2.8
10.5.6
QT 7.6
m100 v 13.01
sony importer 2.7problem was also on v 12.7.1 and v13.0

The problem is that this camera records audio in 24bit, which currently does not work correctly with Media 100 in this file format (as far as I know these are the only cameras that currently record audio this way). I am not sure if it is possible to set the cameras to record 16bit audio, which would import fine. Other options would be to convert the clips e.g. in Quicktime player or via Compressor as a batch into another audio format. Probably not a perfect solution, but unfortunately the direct import is currently not working correctly.
