import xdcam ex into final cut 5
I have some troubles importing xdcam ex stuff into my final cut 5.1.4.
I tried to use Sony’s XDcam transfer, but without any luck.Does anybody know if it is possible at all, or I need an upgrade to FCP6?

Not going to happen without FCP 6.04…
The 6.04 version gave full compatibility to XDCAM EX and this is exactly what you’ll need to edit smoothly. I’m sure someone will tell you a work around for now… but that is only going to cause you headaches.
Keep this in mind when working with new camera gear… ALWAYS run the latest version of FCP.
