Does anybody know how/if I can import only the video(without the audio) of a video file into Adobe Premiere CS4?

I have many .mpg files that I only use only the video from and the way Premiere works, it is very frustrating that it takes such a long time to ‘conform’ the audio and also the amount of hard disk space it uses.

I have tried creating an offline video only clip and linking it, but that crashes Premiere and I know I could convert the clips to video only before importing, but I wondered if Premiere can import just video.

I suppose it’s not a major issue but any help would be greatly received.

Unless you have Elemental Streams Mpg files are usually muxed so you would have to either demux the files in premiere or another software before being able to seperate the A/V
