  Import Trouble in MC 6.5 can’t see external drive

  Hi – I’m running Avid MC 6.5 on a 2012 iMac, mountain lion. Strange issue. File- Import usually shows me all the external drives, where my sources are, but today, nothing, just the main desktop hard drive. The drives show up on the Mac desktop, and I can drag files in… but I have to drag in 800 at a clip, and it chokes the machine. How do I get MC to recognize the drives in the import function? I’ve tried rebooting, shutting down the external drive and bringing it back….. no dice. any ideas?
