  • Import swf with transparency to Final Cut Pro

    Hi there,
I have some animation effects I created in flash and exported as a swf.
I intend to overlay this on top of a video.
Is it possible to do this, and if so how?
    Thanks,
    Faz

    Hi Faz,
    FC do not support SWF.
Export to other codec with Alpha (Animation, Prores444,..)

    Hi thanks,
    How would I do this?
Or does anyone know of any software that can convert swf to video (or quicktime) with alpha transparency?

    Not sure.
    Try Perian.
Can open Flash video, but no idea about SWF.

You will need to bring the SWF into After Effects. Then export into prores4444 and and it should preserve the alpha.
