Import P2 into FCP w/o p2 reader
I have OS X ver 10.5.8 and FCP 6 as well as compressor, just keep this in mind, may be able to use this…
So I have footage (mxf files), they are locked. How do I import them into FCP? The driver on Shane Ross tutorial’s page, doesn’t work. Please help. I have tried to install drivers, but no such luck – they are from other sites.

Do you have the FULL P2 card file structure? Or only MXF files in VIDEO or AUDIO folders? Or both? You watched my tutorial on this? Tapeless Workflow for FCP 7 Tutorial
You only need the driver to get the mac to see the P2 card. After that, you offload the entire card, then use Log and Transfer a the TOP level of that backup..the folder you backed up into. Don’t go digging to the MXF level.
