Import MXF into avid
Hello all,
I need to work with MXF files with avid 2018
I placed the MXF under Avid Media Files / 1/ … (where the media is)
got an error “file is not AP-ATOM”
fair enough the MXF must be OP1-A
I drag the file into avid (Import): and get exception MPEG mapper segment
I try link to AMA: it says “failed to convert display to disk orderWHY SO HARD? WHY?

You can’t import OP1a, you can only link to it via AMA. Or option-drag them into a bin should default to the MXF AMA plug-in. WOuld be a nice feature that if dragged for import that MC prompt for you try a link rather than fail.
