Import MPEG2 into Vegas
I have been given a dvd with vob files to edit.
When I import into Vegas, I get the video just fine, but no sound.
What are my options?

If you have Version 6.0c …
File / Import / DVD Camcorder Disc -
Vegas 6.0c is the first version to import AC3 audio embedded in VOB file. Either update to 6.0c or use some other program to convert the audio back to WAV.
