    hi all
i try to import a large still image in FCP, lets say 500 X 3000 , so that i can scroll the text in the still (with its logos and all). When i preview the still (in the viewer window) everything seems ok.
If i put it in the timeline (canvas window) it gets automatically resized to fit the sequence size.
    I want to avoid that.
I have tried to rescale the still image so I go to motion-> scale and scale it up to 100 % again and now the picture gets pixeled like i scaled it up from the original size to 400 %!!!!! It looks like a very small image that was waaaayyy scaled up.
I am pretty sure there s a way to keep my initial size of still image.. anybody knows how??

    thank you

You can’t accurately judge what the final image looks like on the Canvas window on the computer.

You must judge quality only on an external video monitor.

IN Sequence Settings, set Motion Quality to Best

Also.. just right click and choose Remove attributes

BTW… I STRONGLY recommend duing these sorts of move in AE
