  • Import issue with jpeg sequences that are nested in Folders

    Dear Premiere Gurus,
I have a little workflow issue. Made a nice timelapse with the GoPro cam. It recorded a single frame every minute. Those frames are nested in a lot of different folders sorted by date.

In Premiere, when there is no jpeg sequence, it`s very easy to import the root folder and every movie is in the right folder and it´s not an issue to strart roughcutting.

But with imagesequences – as far as I know – every imagesequence has to be imported as jpeg sequence on its own. So the similar workflow is just not possible – as far as I know… When I imprort the root folder, every single frame is imported – and not the sequences….

For 20 sequences thats just clickwork – but for hundrets of them (as in my project) I will spend a day to import every single sequence on it´s own…

Maybe there is a solution for this?

    Thanks for your advice,

    Felix

Don’t think you can do it without clickwork in premiere. You could use After Effects to import multiple files using a script such as immigration https://aescripts.com/immigration/
You could then import the ae comp(s) into premiere.

    Thanks Chris,
It works with immigration, even in CS6 perfectly.

Thanks to all the folks on Creative Cow – you are awsome
