import .flv to Media Encoder CS6
iStock comps are sent as .flv files and I’d like to convert them to .mov. Having trouble importing .flv into Media Encoder CS6…with error message “the source compression type is not supported”. Read something about downloading an On2 VP6 plugin, but not having luck finding it. Anybody else find a solution to importing .flv? Another editor in our shop has no problem doing this, but we don’t know why his set-up would be any different than mine….

There are two codecs that can be in .flv files: On2 VP6 and Sorenson Spark. Adobe Media Encoder CS6 can read files with On2 VP6, not Sorenson Spark.
